Capella Energy Solar LED Typical conventional advertising hoardings are in full display across big cities and towns in the country. Metal Halidesflood lights are used to illuminate front lit and FTL tubes are used for backlit type of billboards, both consume tremendous amount of power per sq.ft. of illuminated area. A possible technical option is to bring in LED lights to take care of energy efficiency and conservation for all hoardings in the first instance. Also LEDs consume almost 60-80% less power than convention Metal Halides. These may well be operated during the peak hours from 6 pm to 10 pm. To meet this objective, it may well suffice to install a 500Wp-2kWp Solar powersystem. These advertising boards are ideal spot for generating awareness about the ways to reduce pollution and carbon emissions by using renewable and energy efficient means such as solar photovoltaic and LED systems.
